Stereotyping on a Plane

In this scene from the movie "Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay" Kumar, being Indian, is portrayed as a terrorist. In the eyes of the old white woman, she sees Kumar as an Arab terrorist ready to crash the plane. This comes to show that any brown people of the middle eastern descent are seen as terrorists in the eyes of white people.

I think this clip portrays stereotyping against the muslim religion very well. Most of the time when an Indian Muslim, Arab Muslim, or Persian Muslim are spotted in an airport, the first thought that comes to white people is an association with some terrorism or something bad.

After 9/11 it has become very easy to stereotype against all Muslims, because this is all we know of the Muslim religion and not that they are the most peaceful religion in the world.
